Telegraph published a research on desserts, conducted by Daniela Jakubowicz from the Tel Aviv University. This research shows that people who ate desserts for breakfast lost 7 kilos more than people who ate regular low carb breakfast.

193 obese people participated in the study, but they weren’t diabetics. They were split into two separate groups, where the people in the first one were consuming a piece of cake for breakfast, while in the other one, were eating normal breakfast. At the half way of the study, both groups had almost the same results. But, at the end of the study, the people who ate a piece of chocolate cake for breakfast had lost more weight than the others. To be exact, they lost 7 kilos more.

The main culprit for this difference is the desire for sweets and carbohydrates that comes during the day, if you haven’t eaten in the morning. Because of this, many people cheat and eat sweets during the day, making them to lose less weight, or don’t lose at all. If you eat sweets for breakfast, you provide sufficient levels of energy for the day, to overcome all challenges. How you start your metabolism is very important for weight loss.

In addition, it is better to allow an occasional pleasure than to deprive yourself from the desired foods for the sake of weight loss!
