Forget About The Nasal Drops: One Japanese Man Revealed A Rather Bizarre Technique For Unclogging A Stuffy Nose
With the colder weather come the cold and flu season and their faithful companion – stuffed nose forever. Nasal congestion, also known as blockage or obstruction of the nose, or clogged nose, is a blockage of nasal passages, usually because the mucous membranes of the nose become swollen due to inflammation of the blood vessels.
Most of us solve this issue with nasal drops, but the problem is created when we use them excessively, which damages the tender mucous membrane of the nose, and we become addicted to them.
The nasal drops can also weaken the capillary in the nose and cause nosebleeds.
However, one Twitter user from Japan revealed its completely natural method for unclogging a stuffy nose. It sounds more than a bizarre method but he says he tried this trick and that it actually works.
How To Unclog Stuffy Nose With A Bottle
As this Twitter user states, all you have to do is put a plastic bottle under the armpit. He says this is because this stimulates the work of the parasympathetic nervous system. This system is otherwise responsible for the secretion of salivation, digestion, defecation, and lacrimation.
Of all the methods he tried in his life, compressing the bottle under the armpit proved to be the best variant. If your right nostril is clogged you should put the bottle under the opposite armpit and vice versa.
The other more accurate and conventional natural treatments for clogged nose include:
– Inhalation with the help of marshmallow root
– Nasal rinsing with salty water
– Inhalation with essential oils. In a bowl of hot water, you can add several drops of essential oils. Cover the face with a towel so that the steam does not spread around, but only to come to your face or nose. You can use eucalyptus, clove, thyme, or tea tree oil.
Have you tried this trick? If yes, does it work for you? We think that you should stick with the old and proven natural treatments 🙂
