How To Roast Garlic Cloves

There’s not much of a philosophy in roasting garlic. All you need to do is bake the garlic cloves in the oven, with a little bit of olive oil. Let’s get started!

Preheat the oven at 200⁰ C. Clean the first layer of skin from the garlic (you can use as many garlic bulbs as you want). Then, with a sharp knife, cut the lower part of the bulb, so that a cross section of all cloves is visible. Cover them with a little bit of olive oil and wrap them tightly, in aluminum foil. Arrange them in a baking pan or a muffin pan, and bake for 30 minutes.

When the time passes, check whether the garlic is baked. If it’s ready, it should be soft in the middle. If it’s still hard, then return it in the over for another 10 minutes.

You can store this roasted garlic for up to two weeks in the refrigerator. Also, you can freeze it for later use. It lasts up to three months.
