How To Make Natural Flaxseed Hair Gel

This homemade gel has the same efficiency as the most expensive commercially sold preparations for hair styling. To be more specific, the flaxseed hair gel has no specific smell and it doesn’t get super stiff, unlike the chemical hair styling gels. On the contrary, it has a slight stiffness, and it’s especially good for curly hair! Let’s start with the preparation!

You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of flaxseed
  • 250ml of water
  • 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera

Instructions:

Take a cooking pot and fill it with water (about 250ml). Add the flaxseed in the water and cook it over a medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir continuously, until the mixture thickens a bit.

Then, remove the cooking pot from the heat, strain the mixture and add Aloe Vera gel in the water (in a ratio 3:1, flaxseed vs Aloe Vera). Stir so that the ingredients combine. The Aloe Vera gel will prevent the resulting hair gel from drying your hair. If desired, you can add two drops of rose essential oil. Stir well in the end.

Transfer the gel in a glass jar and keep it in the freezer for one week. When the time passes, your homemade flaxseed hair styling gel is ready for use.
