Matcha tea is very rich in antioxidants (catechins), vitamins A, B, C and E, carotene and minerals such as selenium, zinc, and magnesium. This unusual, slightly bitter taste stimulates your metabolism to burn more calories. Matcha helps the body to fight against viruses and bacteria and provides the necessary energy and endurance. 3 Ingredient Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream

For this recipe you will need:

  • Three tablespoons of full-fat coconut milk
  • Three ripe bananas
  • One tablespoon of matcha green tea powder

Procedure:

First, cut the ripe bananas into halves. Once you’ve done that place them in a blender or food processor (whatever you have in your home.) Then, put the coconut milk and matcha powder on top of the bananas. Turn on your blender, and mix the ingredients together until they combine nicely.

In the end, you will get a nice thick and smooth paste. Transfer this paste into a glass container and place it in the freezer for a couple of hours or leave it overnight.

The matcha paste will harden and you will get the perfect ice cream. Take two scoops of matcha ice cream and decorate it as you wish (you can use dark chocolate syrup, chopped dates, coconut flakes, cocoa powder, maple syrup, honey etc.)

Note: If the matcha powder is too strong for your taste, you can reduce the dose for example. You can put one teaspoon instead of one tablespoon in the mixture and still get the powerful antioxidants that your body needs.
