In the course of conducting a study on bananas, Japanese scientists have come to the conclusion that bananas with brown spots are eight times healthier than the green bananas, or some other fruits. For example, when compared to grapes, apples, watermelons, pineapples and pears, ripe bananas showed to contain the largest amount of anti-cancer substances.
Therefore, according to this study, it is best, and much more health beneficial to eat bananas when they are fully ripe and covered with brown spot here and there. It’s recommendable to eat one to two bananas a day, in order to fully utilize the benefits that they have to offer.
