How To Make An Ice Melting Liquid At Home

This melting mixture is very easy to make and it’s quite affordable. Most probably, you already have all necessary ingredients in your storage cabinets. Thus, you might not even spend a penny!

For the preparation, you’ll need the following:

  • A plastic container
  • Two quart of warm water (1/2 gallon)
  • 6 droplets of dishwashing detergent
  • 30 ml of rubbing alcohol (2 oz.)

Method of preparation:

Pour the warm water into the plastic container, along with the dishwashing detergent and the rubbing alcohol. Mix the ingredients, so that they combine. And that’s it, now you have your own ice melting liquid. Spray the frozen water and snow with this solution and leave it to do its magic.

Another great option to melt the snow and frozen water is salt. Most probably, calcium chloride is the best option ever used! Namely, we can see how the city public service throws road salt on all streets in winter. All you need to do is sprinkle some salt on your doorstep, or on any other affected area. When the salt dissolves, it lowers the water’s freezing point and at the same time, it warms and melts the frozen water and snow. Knowing this, you won’t have to worry about having ice and frost in front of your home anymore!
