First, you need to vacuum clean the carpet, to pick up the dirt. Then make a solution of white vinegar and water, in a 1:1 ratio, and spray the entire surface.

Next, mix baking soda and white vinegar, to make a thick paste. Just in case, buy at least 2 packs of baking soda, to have enough for the cleaning. The number of packs depends on the surface you want to clean. Usually, 1 pack of baking soda (1lbs) is sufficient to clean one carpet (4×4 meters).

Scrub the baking soda and white vinegar paste into the carpet. You can use a sponge or a scrub brush. Make sure to cover the entire surface. Leave the paste for about an hour or two, allowing it to dry. In the end, vacuum up the dry baking soda.
