This Homemade Nutella Spread Is Cheaper And Healthier Than The One You Buy From The Stores
Almost everyone knows Nutella, and have seen its impressive ads on the TV. People perceive it as the ideal chocolate spread, making plain pancakes a delicious dessert and plain toast an interesting favored and sweet meal. It is indeed very tasty, but buying Nutella has two drawbacks – its price and some of its ingredients, which are not so healthy.

How To Make Nutella At Home That Is Equally Tasty As It Is Healthy
You can find many recipes and variations of homemade Nutella on the Internet. We tried many of them, and found the best one for our palates and health. Plus, it requires very little preparation time, it’s simple and cheap.
– Hazelnuts, almonds or peanuts (we used hazelnuts) 200-250 grams
– 200g of dark chocolate, with 75 percent fine cocoa
– 2 tbsp. of unrefined sunflower oil
– A pinch of salt
– 1 to 2 tbsp. of brown sugar or honey, depending on your taste
If you prefer buying raw nuts, roast them for about 10 minutes in the oven, at 180 degrees Celsius. However, it would be much easier if you buy baked nuts. Once you have the nuts of your choosing ready, put them in a food processor and pulse, until they are finely chopped. Take the dark chocolate, grate it and add it in the food processor. Add the remaining ingredients (sunflower oil, honey and salt) and blend for a minute, to combine. Next, you should add a little bit of filtered water, or milk, depending how you like your chocolate spread. The amount of liquid varies on the desired consistency. But don’t add too much in the beginning, as you can always add more later in the processing. Turn on the food processor once again and pulse until you get a relatively homogeneous mixture, of medium density.
Pour the resulting chocolate spread in a glass jar and close it airtight. Put it in the fridge to cool down and slightly thicken. Et voilà! Your tasty and healthy homemade Nutella spread is ready to eat. Enjoy!
