Today we show you how to make dark chocolate out of cocoa powder and coconut oil, two incredibly healthy ingredients. Let’s begin with the preparation of this yummy treat!

Dark Chocolate Recipe

For the preparation of this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of softened coconut oil
  • Half a teaspoon of honey or stevia (what you prefer better)
  • 2 tablespoons of organic cocoa powder


Put the ingredients in a small bowl. Mix them well, so that they combine. You can always add more honey or stevia, and adjust the sweetness according to your preference.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the chocolate mixture. Use a spatula to even the surface. Put the chocolate mixture in the freezer for 20 minutes.

Remove the chocolate from the fridge and cut it with a knife into squares. Et voilà! Your homemade dark chocolate bars are ready to serve. Enjoy the sweet delight! Easy, right?

Tip: Don’t use melted coconut oil, as it won’t be able to bind with the cocoa powder. For a soft consistency, it’s best to use softened or solid coconut oil.

You can get creative with this recipe! Instead of honey or stevia, you can also use maple syrup, agave nectar, etc. You can add coconut flakes, chopped almonds, dates, raisins, pistachios, vanilla beans… the combinations are infinite!
