Turmeric is considered to be a natural ‘cleanser of the organism’, and the secret of its healing is hidden in its yellowish color called curcumin. This ingredient has a positive impact on people with advanced forms of liver disease, especially in the so-called fatty liver.

The turmeric contains a phytonutrient of curcumin that has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and therefore is especially recommended for chronic diseases of the bones and rheumatoid arthritis.

Recent studies in cooperation with patients have shown that turmeric reduces morning stiffness and swelling of the joints. This ingredient stops the action of a CO-X 2 enzyme that is responsive to the formation of molecules that cause inflammatory processes. Unlike the classic anti-inflammatory corticosteroid drugs that can cause severe side effects, turmeric is a great natural substitution without severe side effects.

There are many turmeric recipes around the Internet, but this recipe is very interesting and unique. Your kids will love it!

How To Make Turmeric Gummy Bears

For this recipe you will need:

  • One teaspoon of ground turmeric
  • Three and a half cups of water
  • Eight tablespoons of gelatin powder or agar-agar powder (if you are vegan)
  • Six tablespoons of maple syrup or organic honey

Pour the water in a pan and add the turmeric and maple syrup or honey in it. Mix the ingredients together and place the pan on the stove. Then, cook the liquid on a medium heat for five minutes and slowly add the gelatin powder. Whisk continuously until the gelatin is completely liquefied in the blend.

Once the gelatin is dissolved take the mixture off the heat and pour it in a silicon bears shaped mold (you can use any silicon molds you have at home). Leave the gummy bears to cool down and place them in the freezer for 10 minutes. Store them in an airtight container for to 2 weeks maximum.
