Here we show you how to use a toothbrush, along with three ingredients, to effectively remove blackheads. The three ingredients we talk about are toothpaste, baking soda and, of course, water. When combined together, they make a powerful natural scrub, which is very effective in solving this skin problem.

How To Clean Your Pores And Get Rid Of Blackheads

For the preparation of this natural scrub, you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon of toothpaste
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • A little bit of hot water (or 1 teaspoon)

And of course, a toothbrush. Let’s begin with the preparation!

Put the ingredients, one by one, in a bowl and mix them, until they combine. You should get a nice and thick paste.

Start by cleaning your skin as you normally do. Make sure to remove all makeup. Take a clean wash towel and warm it up. You can soak it in hot water. Then, press the warm towel on the problematic areas of your skin (usually, it’s the nose, cheeks and chin). This way, you help the pores open up and prepare them for cleansing.

Next, gently apply the prepared paste on the nose, cheeks and chin. Work fast, as the toothpaste is strong, and if it sits too long on your skin, it can burn it.

Take the clean, damp toothbrush – not the one you use for your teeth, but a new one. Make small circular movements, massing the areas where you applied the paste. Once you’re done with the massage, wipe the paste with a warm wash towel, to keep your pores still open. Don’t use cold water, as it’ll close the pores.

Then take the towel with both of your index fingers and start pressing your skin together, to extract the blackheads.

When you’re done, apply light-weight moisturizer on your skin. And that’s it!
