Forget About BOTOX: Homemade Mask With Anti-Aging, Anti-Inflammatory And Soothing Effects
A mixture of ground coffee and cocoa powder will refresh your skin and give it a new glow. The mask of these two ingredients corresponds to each skin type, and will erase all your thoughts about Botox and commercially sold anti-aging facial creams! Plus, you can easily make it at home!
For the preparation of this natural homemade mask, which is considered to be a natural alternative to Botox, you’ll need coffee, cocoa powder, honey and yogurt. Let us first introduce you with the ingredients, what they can do for your skin.
Coffee reduces redness, inflammation and the dark circles under the eyes. It can be used as an exfoliator, to remove the dead skin cells and “wake up” the tired and pale complexion, by improving the skin’s microcirculation.
Cocoa is rich in antioxidants. Also, it repairs the damage done by the environmental pollution and the damaging free radicals. It’s of great assistance in the fight against acne, due to the high levels of sulfur.
Honey is known as a natural humectant. Also, it has the ability to protect the skin from any pathogens, which may cause irritation, inflammation and acne.
Yogurt contains lactic acid, which is good for exfoliation while the natural enzymes soften the skin. Also, it has amino acids that keep the skin hydrated.
Now, let’s proceed by making this mask.
Coffee-Cocoa Face Mask, A Natural Alternative To Botox
For the preparation, you’ll need:
- 4 tablespoons of ground coffee
- 4 tablespoons of ground organic cocoa
- 1 tablespoon of yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of raw honey
Preparation And Usage
Mix the cocoa powder with the ground coffee in a bowl. Add the yogurt and stir, to get a combined mixture. In the end, add the honey and stir once again, so that the ingredients combine. Apply the mask on your face and massage it for a minute or two. Then, leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes, until it’s completely dry. Afterwards, rinse your face with lukewarm water. You can refrigerate the rest of the mask for max. 3 days. Repeat the treatment on every 3 days, until you notice results.
If you have a sensitive skin, don’t rub your face aggressively, to avoid any irritation.
This face mask has many variations. For example, instead of yogurt, you can add the flesh of a half avocado. If you want to get a mask with a greater thickness, this is a great combination. The avocado has plenty of monounsaturated fatty acid, oleic acid and the unusual phytosterols. Also, it contains a high amount of vitamin E and vitamin C, which have great anti-aging effects and help treat dry skin.
Isn’t this a powerful anti-aging weapon? You don’t have to even think about Botox!
