The green tea and milk diet is most popular amongst those who want to lose weight and keep it off afterwards. This diet is not just a tasteful drink that stops hunger rushes, but it is also a great way to cleanse and detoxify your whole organism.

In just one day following of the green tea and milk diet, you can lose 1 to 5 pounds of your weight – all those excess liquids found in your organism. This is why it is recommended to follow it through for only one day, and no more than two times a month.

Contraindications: milk intolerance, kidney and gallbladder ailments, low pressure. If you have some kind of a chronic disease, consult your physician before trying this diet.

50 oz. low fat milk

2 tbsp. real green tea

Try finding real green tea in the local stores for healthy food, or in the specialized herbal stores. Do not use filter bags since the tea mix in them won’t give you the effects you’re looking for.

Preparation and consumption recommendation:

Pour the milk in a teakettle and put it on high heat until it starts to boil. Then, set it aside and wait for the temperature to reach 155°F. It is important to follow these instructions since the milk needs to be hot, not warm, in order to scald the green tea with it. So, once the milk is at the right temperature, add the green tea, cover it and let it rest for 20 minutes. Strain the tea, removing all leaf particles, and drink the beverage throughout the whole day – 1 cup at every two hours.

Tea prepared with milk instead of water is always better absorbed. Part because milk is easier for digestion, part because of the milk’s properties to alleviate caffeine effects. In addition, while keeping this diet, it is recommended to drink a lot of mineral, non-sparkling water – at least 70 oz. per day, because the milk and green tea beverage is a strong diuretic. The increased intake of water during the diet day will help you maintain the balance of your organism.

In the end, rest assured that you won’t feel any hunger during this diet since the milk and green tea will satisfy your appetite, and will free your body and mind from cravings.
