Castor Oil As An Alternative Treatment For Joint Pain

If you don’t want to frequently use anti-inflammatory pills and painkillers, you should try this natural pain relief remedy.

What you need is:

  • Castor oil
  • Cotton cloth or a sock
  • Blue gel bag or a corn bag

Smear a little bit of the castor oil on the painful area. Be careful not to spill it, as it will stain your clothes. Once you’ve done that, take the sock, or the cotton cloth, and place it over the area you just covered with castor oil. This way, you’ll prevent the oil from staining your clothes.

Then, heat the gel bag, or corn bag (whatever you have at home), and place it over the same area.

Before you apply castor oil, remove your jewelry, as it’ll grease and damage it.

Why Is Castor Oil Helpful As A Pain Relied Remedy?

Ricinoleic acid is the healing ingredient of castor oil, with mild irritant effects on the skin. When you use it as a compress, it penetrates the skin, and aids the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, sprains, gout, etc. Also, it encourages blood circulation and strengthens the immune system.
