How To Make Cashew Cheese

For the following recipe you will need:

  • 200g of raw cashews
  • 120ml of filtered water
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast or 2 probiotic capsules
  • 1/2 teaspoons of Himalayan salt
  • Spices to taste (garlic, ground saffron, colorful pepper, parsley etc. )


First, rinse the cashews, and place them in a container. Then, pour water on top of them and leave them to soak all day and all night. They will increase their volume, and soften in the morning. Rinse and drain the soaked cashews and put them in the blender together with about 120 ml of water. Once you’ve done that add the nutritional yeast, salt, and garlic, turn on the blender and pulse once again. Blend the ingredients until they combine nicely and you shall get the smooth and creamy texture.

Take a strainer and put it over the container into which the cheese will be drained. Cover the strainer with gauze and drain the mixture. In the end, it is necessary to press this cheese to drain it as best as possible with a bowl of the appropriate bottom volume.

Afterwards, pour the cheese in a container layered with a plastic foil. You can add the parsley, black pepper or ground saffron on top of it and then place the cheese in the refrigerator. Keep it in the fridge overnight or until it becomes more firm. Spread this awesome cheese on crackers or toast and get the healthiest breakfast.
