An Easy Way To Clean Your Coffeemaker, So That It Never Gets Clogged Or Contaminated With Bacteria
Probably, there’s no person who doesn’t start its day with coffee. Most people make their coffee at home, in coffeemakers, or there are some that buy it on the way to work. If you’re one of those who make it at home, then you probably have some kind of a coffeemaker. Let’s suppose (if not true) that you use this coffee machine on a daily basis. But, how often do you clean it?
You need to clean your coffeemaker regularly, to avoid clogging and bacteria overgrowth. Therefore, today we show you an easy and very effective way to clean your coffee machine. Let’s get started!
How To Properly Clean Your Coffeemaker
For this cleaning procedure, you’ll need the following:
- White distilled vinegar
- Dishwashing detergent
- Microfiber cloth
- All-purpose cleaner
First, remove the lid and reservoir from the machine. Then, take out the cup holder, funnel, drip tray and drip tray cover. Put them in the dishwashing machine and wash them. Or wash them with running water and dishwashing detergent. Now, let’s continue with the remaining parts of the machine. Apply some all-purpose cleaner on the machine’s surface and gently rub it with a microfiber cloth. Then, open the coffeemaker, take the toothbrush and brush out any of the coffee grounds, stuck at the corners. After you’re done with this, pour some white distilled on the microfiber cloth and clean the reservoir sit. The vinegar will leave it spotless!
By this time, the parts in the dishwasher should be dry and ready for returning into the coffee machine. Assemble the machine. Now, let’s continue cleaning it on the inside. All you need to do is fill the reservoir with vinegar to the half and to turn it on. Funny, you’ll be getting a hot cup of vinegar, which you can throw right away. Repeat the procedure until the reservoir runs out of vinegar.
Once you’re done, pour some water in the reservoir and turn it on again. This will help you rinse the vinegar residue and neutralize its taste. Repeat this step a couple of times, until the reservoir runs out of water.
And that’s it! An easy and simple, yet very effective cleaning procedure, which will get you a spotless coffeemaker!
